Michael Tannen

Mike has spent most of his career in the media business advising clients and investing in media businesses. He has represented artists such as Paul Simon, Bruce Springsteen, John Lennon, The Rolling Stones and Billy Joel, and major media companies, including Columbia Pictures, Bertelsmann and Time Warner.
His investments have involved him in music publishing, television shopping, video games, software development, movies and television. In addition to his work with the Preserve, Mike serves on the Boards of New York City Bird Alliance and Upstream Alliance is on the Executive Committee of the No Child Left Inside Coalition and is a New York State Park Commissioner.
Mike served on the Preserve’s Board of Directors from 2003 through 2020 and rejoined in 2022. He serves on the Land Management & Facilities and Marketing & Communications Committees.
