Eric M. Gullickson

Board Member

Eric, a fifth-generation member of the Smiley family, has lived nearby Mohonk Preserve for more than 40 years. After a career in journalism and media relations, Eric followed a strong desire to become more involved in his family’s business and studied hospitality at NYU and Cornell. He is now president of Mohonk Mountain House, the historic resort hotel his family has owned and operated since 1869.

Eric has been involved in the Preserve in variety of ways – first as a Ranger and since 2003, as a member of the Preserve’s Board of Directors. He chairs the Human Resources Committee and serves on the Executive and Audit Committees.

Eric, his wife Robyn and their two children live at Mohonk Mountain House and are thankful that they have been able to settle nearby Mohonk Preserve.
