Peregrine Watch – Temporary Closure in the Trapps Cliff
As of Saturday, February 1, 2025, the Preserve has implemented a temporary closure of climbing and bouldering at the Trapps Cliff as follows:

• Climbing – The sections between and including Laughing Man (5.11) and Clunies Jollies (5.12)
• Bouldering – The Buddha, Nameless, Murray and Boxcar areas. This includes all problems from Atlas (V10) to Little Death (V10)

Burn Ban
A statewide burn ban is currently in effect to reduce the risk of wildfires.

• FIRE DANGER ALERT – 4/23/25 – NYS DEC has issued a HIGH fire danger alert for the Hudson Valley.
• As a reminder, no fires or campfires are permitted at the Preserve.
