New for 2025! A Rock The Ridge Marathon!
Want to participate in Rock The Ridge but aren’t quite ready for the full 50 mile course? Then the marathon distance is a perfect choice! We promise you will have the full, rewarding experience of rocking the ridge while completing the 26.2 mile course. It’s a trail marathon without the rocks and roots you usually think of when you think “trails.” You’ll be running a wide, lightly graveled carriage roads where you can look at the beauty that surrounds you instead of at your feet!
What You Need to Know About the Marathon
- The course is broken out into two challenging legs:
- Leg 1: Testimonial Gateway/Eagle Cliff/Pine Road 13 Miles

- Elevation gain is 2,954 feet.
- Marathon starts at 7 am (one hour later than the 50-milers and Relay participants).
