Seed & Story: Grow Your Roots – An Introduction to Urban Farming

Join Farmer Nick Jackson from PK Organics for this introduction to urban gardening workshop this spring. Participants of all ages will learn the fundamentals of starting seeds indoors while incorporating art and storytelling. Everyone will leave with a DIY upcycled seed starter, instructions on caring for your plants until they are ready to be planted, and a deeper connection to their personal and cultural relationship with plants. Learn more about repurposed planters, urban beautification, sustainability, and the social impact of urban gardens. Registration is required and space is limited. The materials fee for this program is $45/person. Payment is due at registration.
