March Weekend Hikes

“Storm King State Park.” Saturday, March 3rd. Call the hike leader for meeting time, location, and fee. This is a strenuous 8-10 mile hike led by Gary Curasi. This is a free program. 
 
“Peterskill/Awosting Falls Loop.” Sunday, March 4th, 10am. Meet at the Minnewaska State Park Preserve Peterskill Lot. This is a moderate 5-6 mile hike/snowshoe led by Ginny Fauci (gefauci@gmail.com). The Minnewaska parking fee applies. 
 
“Catskills: Friday and Balsam Cap.” Sunday, March 4th. E-mail the hike leader for meeting time, location, and fee. This is a strenuous and steep 6-7 mile hike with a  bushwhack led by Tom Martone (tom.martone.cmc@gmail.com). This is a free program. 
 
“Millbrook Mountain Loop.” Saturday, March 10th, 10am. Meet at the Mohonk Preserve West Trapps Trailhead. This is a moderate to strenuous 6 mile hike led by Artie Raphael (845-255-5367). Free for Mohonk Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee. 
 
“Catskills: Plateau & Sugarloaf Hike/Snowshoe.” Sunday, March 11th. Call the hike leader for meeting time, location, and fee. This is a strenuous 10 mile hike led by Tonda Highley (914-475-9536). Conditions may require special gear. This is a free program.
 
“Blueberry Run end to end.” Sunday, March 18th, 10am. Meet at the Minnewaska State Park Preserve lower parking lot. This is a 7-8 mile hike or snowshoe led by Roberta Forest (845-750-7059). The Minnewaska parking fee applies. 
 
“Top of the Gunks Hike.” Saturday, March 24th, 10am. Meet at the Mohonk Preserve Visitors Center. This is a moderate 6 mile hike with some scrambles led by Tonda Highley (914-475-9536). Free for Mohonk Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee. 
 
“Mohonk Scrambles.” Sunday, March 25th, 10am. Meet at the Mohonk Preserve Spring Farm trailhead. This is a fast and strenuous 11 mile hike led by Marty Carp (845-303-3764). Free for Mohonk Preserve members, non-members pay the $15 day use fee. 
 
“FDR Estate.” Sunday, March 25th, 9:30am. Meet at rear of FDR Estate parking lot. This is an easy 3.5 mile hike led by Rich Chapman (845-453-2370).
