Mohonk Preserve

Junior Ranger Program

The Junior Ranger Program is an opportunity for teens, ages 13-16, to learn the skills and gain the knowledge needed to pursue a career as a ranger or naturalist and give them a leg up on job and college applications. Taught by staff from the Education and Stewardship departments of the Mohonk Preserve, this program meets monthly on Saturdays from September through May, typically from 9am-3pm. The final program in the course is a weeklong Adirondacks trip where participants will be able to put their skills to use in the largest park in the contiguous United States.
