The wintery weather of February can often lead to a case of “cabin fever.” A great antidote is the annual Shawangunk Ridge Biodiversity Partnership (SRBP) Lecture Series, “Secrets of the Shawangunks,” which offers a way to explore nature through engaging presentations by expert speakers.
The lectures, which are free and open to the public, will take place from 7-8:30 p.m., Thursday evenings from Feb. 1-22, at the State University of New York at New Paltz and SUNY Ulster. The series is co-sponsored by SUNY Ulster and the SUNY New Paltz Biology Department. The Feb. 22 lecture will be held at the SUNY Ulster Stone Ridge Campus, Vanderlyn Hall, College Lounge, Room 203; all other lectures will take place at the SUNY New Paltz Lecture Center Room 102.
